betting half of bankroll?

has any one ever gone so large as to bet half there bankroll on a game say once in a blue moon and won on consistane basis without doing major damage to your bankroll ? Betting the whole bankroll just seems stupid however it seems posible that you could bet like half your bankroll lets say one out of every 10 bets . the rest u would bet 1%

Proper money management says no (I used to trade forex/stocks also), but I'm pretty sure at one point we all have. I'll all in a live ML to make a few quick ones, have yet to lose but I'm probably asking for it.

If your edge is there then do it, i bet 78% of my roll on umass +6.5 last week after i got a tip about the other team, they won the game outright. If you have an edge then its fine, but dont throw 50% of it down on a hunch or a gut feeling. Money management is learning to calculate how big your edge is, then you can manaqge your dollars properly.
