My view of Tony from 5Dimes:

I have never spoke to him, but since joining SBR, I have read many comments about him being a prick. Usually following a complaint about his personality, there is a follow up comment along the lines of: Dont play at 5Dimes, go else where, etc.

I would think that Tony being a dickhead would motivate people to want to continue playing there. I mean, wouldnt his poor personality really make it that much more fun/worth it to try to turn a profit there.

I play at a few books, and sometimes the "THANK YOU FOR PLAYING, AND GOOD LUCK ON ALL YOUR PLAYS!!" can get a bit robotic (NOT that it bothers me).

A fiesty bookie is always fun to beat.

Tony this couldn't be a real motivating factor for me. How would this factor in the indivual games? My motivation to win is at 100% all the time. Don't need to worry about wanting to burried somebody to be on my game. Infact this thinking might hurt if you are not disciplined enough not to chase and want to bury him.

T i've been hearing about this Tony dude latley on the boards and i have to say it kind of makes me not want to play at 5dimes... I know i will end up playing there cause im a die hard MMA fan and would love to run some MMA Parlays but just can't imagine letting this **** face swear at me... But it is nice that someone points out that 5dimes needs to work on there customer service...

Did you know that Tony was a player who won his way into the business?? Did you know you could count the players on 1 hand that Pinnacle would not take action from and Tony was one of those fingers?

He is however human. He does run his book in a creative way to try to keep things fun. SBR has had genuine dissagreements with him and he has always been a gentleman and willing to consider our arguement. He gets a bigger than life rap on some things. Truth is he is a smart, passionate guy who is open and easy to reason with.

John you would know better than I would, just speculation on my part. I've never had dealings with the man, it's just the stuff I've read on the different forums over the years. For some reason it's hard to recall reading a post praising the guy on how kind, helpful he can be.

I can imagine the guy fields a ton of calls from degenerates, cheats, scammers and the like. So who could really blame the guy if he f bombs a player before he deep 6's the phone on them.

Luckily customer service isn't needed too frequently in the current atmosphere. Cause lets face it, you get either a non-english speaking zombie or an angry bookmaker. I've often wondered why they don't just strap dead bodies to chairs and tape phones to their heads, just as good as what we have now.

If the U.S Gov spread their a$$checks a bit and regulated this industry we would have blow your mind service because big players would move in.
