I'm kind of surprised by the years Flynn is getting. Teams are starting to recognize guys like Kolb, Shaub, Cassel are backups for a reason. Shaub has turned out to be pretty good, but more the middle of the pack than excellent. Flynn's ceiling is not that of most middle of the road QBs, but that doesn't mean he can't be a productive player. He was a reasonable gamble, but it leaves me wondering a few things.
1- The rumors of Miami lowballing Flynn must be true
2- Flynn is going into Darrel Bevel's system, something T Jack knows and has done alright in. He did NOT go with Philbin in Miami, which is surprising. There's a chance Flynn might not be the best fit in Seattle, yet he chose there. It has to be the money involved.
3- Why wasn't Cleveland involved? There's no reason to think Colt McCoy is an NFL QB. He's shown he's definitely not.

With Manning's status up in the air, it's silly time for a LOT of QBs in the NFL. I'd be shocked right now if Alex Smith returns to the 9rs if they fail to sign Manning. I also wonder what Denver is planning. I'd be shocked to see Tebow in a Bronco uniform in June no matter what happens with Manning. Peyton better make a decision and fast - lots of teams have a lot of disgruntled players in the process.

Flynn is really a good QB. He's been under other QB shadows his whole career. At LSU Jamarcus Russel and GB Aaron Rodgers. But remember the guy is a winner he DID win a NATIONAL TITLE at LSU. He's no Fluke, the real deal
