Guy calls in sick all year and while he is on the sidelines there is no interview he wont do for ESPN. Also he has been in the CBS studio all tourney.

I would rather see him out there recruiting but hopefully he's already done that. We better see a bounce back next season from the Redstorm.

I don't see what the problem would be. There's no stress doing TV like there is coaching. Recovering from cancer, you want low stress. Guy is doing something he enjoys and he's good at it.

I wouldn't say getting treatment for cancer is the same thing as "calling in sick"...
He's been out recruiting for next year.
He was at ESPN before he went to St. John's.
March Madness is 3-4 weeks...I don't see what the big deal is, really.

Seriously? Calling in sick? You have acces to his med records? You need to check the stats for the # of men dying from prostate cancer. Don't want to diminish breat cancer BUT ... I've lost 2 already to PC. If you're over 40 have your PSI checked. FK the insurance companies telling you not to. They lie. You can go to the bank on this!

The guy had or has cancer. Sounds like the OP is taking the situation lightly.

Having his face on CBS giving input on games is a major plus for recruiting and only helps his high profile

Lavin is great in studio. Knows how to fill up a segment with random metaphors and other assorted Bullshit until the next commercial break.

CBS studios are a known ancient healing paradigm. The seat Lavin was in the third seat is directly aligned with the constellation Orion at halftime.
Just saying.
