Noticed this a week ago. If you had a huge bankroll and you know that book is staying in business... and you could wait until the season is over... there's no one that can compete with Detroit... I think to start a season... -500 is the highest favorite ever to win a division. I don't even think the Yankees were ever that high.

I am at a loss as to why the Royals are only +1000. They're improving, but they'll still end up behind Cleveland and the Twins for one more year

Detroit is close to a lock....but why told anyone tie up anything for that long at -520?

Twins fan here, they are going to battle for last place with the White Sox. Pitching is actually worse than last year's team that lost 99. Even if they stay healthy the Twins are a 90 lose team. Tigers will run away with the division.

If you find the field let me know. I want to do something on it, but the new playoff rules really will put a fire under the tigers. Before this tweak in playoffs this year I believe Leyland would waste a month or two to find his best team for the playoffs. Now you have to go out and clinch the division and then figure out your team.

if you're the kind of guy who has several thousand in his bankroll, I would see putting a couple on -520, it's a pretty good 6 month investment.

Obviously very few here invest in the stock market. I keep hearing about how long the book is holding your money for 4-5 months. Are you starting out with only one unit? If you have 20, 50, or 100, what is one unit on a + value future? Hell, I nevet miss it.

wtf? You picked LITERALLY the 3 least injury prone players in baseball. Fielder has missed 1 game in the last 3 seasons and only 13 in the last 6 years. Verlander has pitched 200+ innings for each of the last 5 years. Cabrera has played in 158+ games in 7 out of the last 8 years and the other year he played 150. Do you even follow baseball?

And 1 of them can go down no problem, The Tigers expected win advantage is 10+. Two of them go down at the very beginning of the season and then you have a race. Two of them go down in July and it still should be an easy win for the Tigers.

but just spreading the field and betting them all (no idea why anyone would've taken minnesota though) would've gotten you over 4-1 odds if the white sox hit at 17-1
