tipping at the table games doesn't seem to make sense
the tips goes to the casino. the dealer only gets a small part of it. in the old days, dealer get all the tips, but once the corporations start running the casinos on the strip, most of the tips go to the casino.

I always thought it was retarded anyways, they expect a tip when you win but they never want to accept responsibility when you lose.

I only tip if they are actually pleasant.

I swear, I went from like $300 to $600 in 30 minutes and it seemed like this woman was glaring at me expecting tips. No thanks.

If those dealers weren't there, your winnings would be $0

The old drunk (at 10am) craps dealers at Binion's were funny as hell...

            They would beg for tokes

I'm sure it's probably changed since I was a Dealer but back then the tips were all pooled and divided among all the hours worked by all of the dealers combined and then included in our paychecks according to how many hours you worked. This was a good method in my opinion. Funny thing... after working at the Casino long enough I actually felt sort of guilty when I would get tipped because I knew that I had absolutely nothing to do with the fact that they won. And worse yet... they were more than likely down thousands of dollars overall.

I would never tip simply because I'm winning.....If I'm winning and they're fun to be around I'll throw em a few bucks here and there.

I am a dealer and its not true that the casino gets any of my tips. I get every dollar that any player tips me. Also know that the casino pays us FEDERAL minimum wage because they know we get tips. So if you say they get paid to stand there and deal to you, yes that's true but if we didn't get tips we make less than someone that works at McDonolds. So if the dealer has a good personality and you are winning maybe you should not be a stiff and help them out.

whats the difference? I make a whopping 7 something an hour. Less than Ca state minimum wage. Indian land so they can give us Federal minimum wage. Just wonderful lol

Unlike in the pit, most poker dealers keep all their tips vs pooling them.

I will tip usually 5% of my winnings to the dealer if I go on a hot run. Of course only if I like the dealer and they have a good attitude.
