Fuk Manning. I wouldn't pay him that much. Dude got two years at most, three if he's lucky. I'd stick to Tebow, and revamp the Defense with that kind of money. The Broncos offense is still solid.

I think I heard on ESPN that he is giving the teams an option in the contract in case he gets injured again as some sort of insurance.

Basically Broncos setting a contract to start. Others will match most likely and it will go up from there.

there have been a lot of guys who play much meaner positions(and take many more brutal hits) than qb that have had the same surgeries as peyton...and have comeback with less rehab and recovery times...if he is playing in 5 yrs, he will still be a top 5 qb in the league...(the guy simply isnt stupid...he wouldnt come back if he thought he would get hurt the first time he got hit) yes, its a risk paying him for a certain amount of years, but honestly, there isnt anyone as good as him on the market and wont be for a few more years anyways... he has basically run the offense by himself for years and will be a great coach one day if he chooses that route...yo get much more than the physical side of things with him at qb...his play calling and adjustments are done so much better than anyone else at qb... and yes, if he played on a team like the pats, he would win just as many championships...for godsakes that colts defense gave up so many pts. its amazing they won as many games as they did...
