Wouldn't it be cool for the military acadamies to all of a sudden pull out the stoppers and say,we are going to start fielding competitve sports teams and we don't care who we have to admit into school to do it.
The armed forces are doing everything they can to advertise for recruiting including putting ads on NASCAR cars. Why not fields teams that are competitive in sports to put a good face on things? You can get Tarkanian style coaches and tell them to hit the hoods for players.Remember the old Johnny Carson skit where the guy he played sold used cars.Have no job,we don't care, have a criminal record,we don't care, have a sexual deviency,we don't care, have dependencies,we don't care. Can't play football,WE CARE!It was the one where he was a used car dealer hosting grade B movies on tv and he was making out with babes when the camera cut to him unexpectadly. Was it Fran Fern????
Anyway,do you think it would help the public perception of what terrorists think of the USA military if they saw street thug types winning by huge margins playing for the academies compared to mediocre blundering also rans.
I know, they have to be dedicated career officers first and sports is not their first priority so they have an excuse that they don't work out and practice as much.Well, that's why you go out and get the dirty dozen types to fulill the mission of winning games by doing everything it takes to do so.
