Doesn't wear a suit, doesn't stand up for 90% of the game... he is wearing the same thing and acting the same as all of the assistant coaches... I thought coaches had to wear suits? Or is it stated in the contract with the school?

Illinois is above him at this point I'd say. Illinois is the top open job in the country if Texas/UCLA do not become available.

Maybe this was more focused on by me because his team, which was much more athletic, got pounded by a bunch of white boys.

#22I certainly agree there is a time to rip your player(s) a new one, especially with the kind of ego's you get at the top level. But the best coaches rarely flip out on their players, izzo, coach k come to mind, they pick their spots.Originally posted by PickWinnerAllDayComposed seemed to work for Phil Jackson in the NBA... but most good college coaches are animate and I think there is a reason for that.

If I was a Lamar fan, I wouldn't have much faith in Knight though watching him lean back in his chair while his team gets dominated. I'm hard on coaches though, Weber's garbage has me bitter.Comment -

You said he couldn't turn it around.
Having the highest winning percentage in school history, winning 20 games a year, and being in the tourney every other year isn't turning it around?

#35Phil Jackson was composed because he didn't have to coach, he just had to manage egos.
Bobby Knight was one of the scariest men in a sweater or in a suit.
When you throw chairs & players around like he did, the only required apparel was a suit of armour for the players!
BTW how much blame over the Melo fiasco is Jimmy responsible for?Comment
