Rutgers - Deja Vu All Over Again
Looks like the old days again with the Scarlet Knights. Lost again. To Navy.

Yep, the old days. The old days when there was no glory.

Like five years ago, when they were one of the eternal bottom dwellers in Div 1-A.

Or 10 years ago. Or 15, Or 20.

    Schiano magic wearing off.

It may have started preseason, in the late spring and summer.

Mofome reported here that Rutgers had signed one the top prep RB in the country. Kid from N. Carolina

To replace Rice. I was guessing they were going to take the redshirt off him and let him play.

But then the kid de-committed. Too far to travel. He opted for his hometown college, Duke.(Who I think did redshirt him)

The Rutgers coaching staff probably went from an elated high to a miserable low,

Long year for these guys. Just like the bad old days.

losing players to Duke is not good.

But the kid is smart. Who the **** would want to go to Rutgers over Duke?

Duke is HORRID at football! Why not UNC, at they attempt to have a program and are also a very good school. Schiano may be wondering why he stuck around......

Duke is improving. Have to, with Cutcliffe (or "Cut" as they call him on Tobacco Road) calling the shot this year.

So he used his recruitng magic on this kid. And the kid said he didn't want to be making the 8 hour trip to Rutgers.

I thought they lived on campus, and maybe went home what, once a month?

But he seemed to want to be home each week. Maybe a momma's boy. Not knocking that, a lot of the good, solid black kids are. (Like Obama, tho his momma was solely of pale melanomin)

          MoFo knows shit

Rutgers will be one of the worst teams in the nation for a long time to come. Rice was a big timer

He's not attending school, not redshirting? Wonder why.

Good to see you visiting, Mo. You kinow foots.

                And so does JJ.

Man, I hate these constant catfights. Or dogfights, whatever.

Glad I'm of the older gen. But even when I was in the HDG (under 35) I don't think I went out of my way to cat/dog fight.

Live in these turbulent times, in almost any metro area in the land, you'll get enough conflict and fighting coming to you without looking for it.

(Hispanic guy called me out some months ago - cursed me out - for supposedly taking his parking spot at a bakery. I tried to ignore him, but he kept it up, really getting foul. And with a 3-4 year okl daughter in his car.

In my own HDG years I was a member of an outlaw motorcycle club. Your initiation was to get sucker punched by another member your size, and you have to fight like a maniac to get membership, which I did. Fun when you're in your 20s, lame in your 40s, as some of those guys were.

So I finally went over to his car and told him to get out and start swinging or shut the fuk up, or he'll regret his bullsh1t. He peeled away, cursing me all the way. In Spanish, which I mostly understand

I prefer avoidance now. Maybe it the caution of age. Or likely, unless it's absolulety necessary it's just a fukkin waste of time. I know I can still beat some younger dudes, and some can waste me. So what? I found as I got older that it 's more fun "fighting" with words. Debating, not trading schoolboy insults.)

The kid is just a sr in high school now, my friend. Always good to read your posts and hear from you as well.

I think most of the 'catfight/dogfight' stuff on the forums is n jest, but some is kind of ugly and unnecessary. there is not a single part of me that doesn't want sbr to be forever successful. i met some of the most amazing people ive ever met while working here, life is too short for the pettiness.

as for your specific story...with football, women, beer, friends, family, and gambling....we have enough enjoyable stuff to focus on; no need to waste your time with the scum of the earth. if you're spending time with people like that or thinking about people like that, then that means your not with or thinking about the people in your life that actually matter; which is insulting to the people you love instead of the person that you realize is a waste. that was a bit wordy, but hopefully it made some sense.

i hope you've been well man. gl this week.
