#9I doubt such a contract would even be a possible or legal. It's all speculation.Originally posted by PickWinnerAllDaySo they have his word that he won't opt out? That won't fly... has to be in a contract.Comment -

#10like...who the f is howard real close to on that team...we know he dont give a shit about turkoglu, ryan anderson, or reddick....and there isnt another guy on that team thats of all star caliber...best believe this guy wants to be paired with at least 1 other superstar....he can tell jameer nelson and j rich and some of the other guys all he wants that hes not gonna opt out....but that dont mean shit till he signs the waiverComment -

#11i believe he can sign a waiver right now that holds him to not opting out.....dunno..not exactly sure how that works...maybe he can only sign something saying he is opting out??Originally posted by d2betsI doubt such a contract would even be a possible or legal. It's all speculation.Comment -

#13Howard has not signed a waiver of his early termination option at this point, which means nothing is guaranteed yet. Both Howard and his representation must sign the documentation.Originally posted by bobby heenandont think theyll believe him till he signs the waiver saying he wont opt out...talk is cheap

#14Dwight gave that dumb interview last night asking Magic to roll the dice.
Magic got pissed off he made them look like the bad guy and said they were going to trade him without a commitment.
Dwight now offering a possible commitment.
Dwight seems like a teenage girl that can't decide what to wear. Make up your damn mind.Comment -

#18What would Howard have to gain by signing such a commitment right now giving up his right to opt out? What does he receiver as consideration for such a waiver? If it's just a matter of him signing it with nothing in return, would there then be anything preventing him from changing his mind? Is it enforceable. I don't see why he'd give up a right without something in return.Comment -

#19Agreed. Could be a ploy so they dont trade him, then after thursday he changes his mind again. If he doesn't sign today they have no choice but to trade him.Originally posted by bobby heenanwell put your signature where your mouth is dwight howard....its pretty easyComment -

#24my guess would be a guaranteed salary for next year??? doesnt sound like much....it shows commitment to the team though....just saying it doesnt give the team much to go on.....weve already seen lebron alienate the city of cleveland.....so whats it to dwight to say "ya im not gonna opt out" and then do it anyway??Originally posted by d2betsWhat's in it for him?Comment -

when i heard about some of the shit he did to his babys mother(the chick who is on basketball wives)...dude gave her like 500k and made her sign some shit that was like a gag order where she couldnt post pics of the kid anywhere or mention that hes dwights son or some shit like that....the girl posted some pics of her son on twitter and this dude took her to court..sued her for 500mil...think he ended up getting a judgement of like 500k in his favor and the dude is actually tryna collect.....that was about the amount he gave her to buy a house and take care of the kid before the whole drama....i was like "wow this guy is such a douche..hes just like all of em"..Comment -
