the magic have to move dwight.....been saying it for awhile now....have to get something...theres no way hes coming back...the writing has been on the wall for some time now

it would be like the mets not moving jose reyes...fully knowing reyes isnt coming back...but not moving h....im...and if the mets thought they had a shot to resign they were delusional....they were able to flip beltran though for a top pitching prospect in zach wheeler.....they could have gotten something similar for reyes

Yup. Lots of deals to be had. They just need to pick what they like best at this point. Even if they only get .50 or .75 cents on the dollar that's still better than letting him walk for nothing after the end of this season...

definitley one of those situations that was crazy and worked out.....although i think at the time thered was a decent feeling that he could be resigned.....the but howard is making it pretty obvious....and the mets had to have known reyes wasnt coming back either..although they are pretty stupid

I think both situations are/were both obvious that neither guy is coming back. When you turn down deal after deal until your contract expires it becomes pretty obvious that you want to leave. Which is fine as long as you don't tease the fanbase or blame your exit on other people

If nobody is offering all that much for him, why trade him now? You can still trade him after the season. Probably have more leverage then to tell you the truth.

If they stick to their guns on this, they have a chance because now next time they have a star, he will pretty much have to stay and be more likely to sign an extension before it ever gets to this.

Why would a star in the future feel like he has to stay if Howard walks away?

                Shaq did it once already

Howard will do it again if he isn't traded

The next star will as well

Because he would be walking away from a lot of money. Name me the big NBA stars that have passed up on the money besides Lebron?

Does Howard or the next star feel they have as big of a brand as Lebron to warrant this. That is a lot of money Howard would have to give-up. Of course Jay Z might just pay him under the table anyway.

You can't win trading a Shaq or Dwight. You won't even get 5 cents on the dollar. Magic is screwed whichever route they choose. 6 in one hand a half dozen in the other. They won't win the championship this year and their championship window has passed.

He won't be leaving Orlando, no trade. He isn't going to exercise his option..

I love how stupid Dwight Howard is.

He is talking about the future of the Orlando Magic franchise and he just wants them to 'roll the dice' and not trade him.

If he leaves and they don't trade him, the Magic become a bottom 5 team and Dwight doesn't give a shit.

My internet went out. This is the reply I had. Not sure how relevant it is now...

Do sign and trades still exist? From what I hear, the Magic are receiving crap offers right now. D. Howard also stands to lose 30 mil. I am amazed that some of you that actually follow this stuff don't that. ( I haven't been following this at, just googled that number real quick, but I do know the basic precepts).

After the season is over, I believe D. Howard will be wined and dined. A team will fall in love with him and he with them....only if they give him his money. In order to do that the Magic will have to sign him and then trade him to his new team. I like the Magic's leverage then better than I do now.

Maybe the rules have changed. I hate thinking about basketball to tell you the truth.
