why wouldn't manning want to play with marshal? That had potential to be a deadly combination.

Kind of makes you wonder about Manning going to the Dolphins now

In Miami, some doubt Peyton wants to play with Marshall

Posted by Michael David Smith on March 12, 2012, 1:38 PM EDT

Peyton Manning will surely want to play with talented receivers wherever he signs. But he’ll also want to play with reliable receivers who can be counted on to consistently meet his expectations. And in Miami, some doubt that Brandon Marshall fits that bill.
Marshall is undeniably talented, but Mike Berardino of the Sun Sentinel writes that Marshall could be a drag on the Dolphins’ pursuit of Manning, given his reputation for being difficult to deal with.
When Manning visited the Cardinals’ facilities on Sunday, Larry Fitzgerald didn’t only join the meeting because he’s a talented receiver. He also joined the meeting because he’s widely known as a congenial guy who works hard and gets along with his quarterbacks. That’s the type of person Manning will want to play with, and it’s fair to ask whether Marshall can be that kind of person.
Meanwhile, as everyone obsesses over Manning in Miami, things are changing by the minute. Sun Sentinel columnist Dave Hyde wrote on Twitter on Monday afternoon that the “Dolphins are out of the running for Peyton Manning, a source said.” After six minutes of furious re-tweeting around the NFL Twitter world, Hyde tweeted again, “Strike that: They are NOT out of the running. Dolphins are in the running.”
Expect the Manning stories to continue to go back and forth until he signs his name on a contract.

like i said...miami had to ready to cut ties with the guy anyway....would be pretty stupid to do something to appease manning when you have no iron clad agreement and he has several suitors...one of these other teams could pull out a stop or two also for manning.....so i think this move was rooted in the fact that they were ready to move on anyway.....

hell be reinvigorated with a competent qb...like randy was when he got out of that jv outfit they were running in oakland.....his attention span was starting to get real short in miami with the quarterbacks they were running out there...even with him dropping balls....

owned this guy in fantasy when he beasted the colts for the 21 catches...got him in the 6th round that year too because everyone was scared of him and his antics....still remember the game he had against the jets at home two years ago on a sunday night....the guy can be an absolute animal

great move by the bears. Cutler was having a solid season before getting injured last year, now he finally gets a legit WR in Chicago not to mention the two have already been successful together in Denver.

As a Bears fan Im really excited. I want to now sign Heinz Ward for a penny as well. We just got Brandon as cheap as it gets. Huge pickup for the Bears.
