The tipping point was the exposure the assistant coach got earlier in the year. Without it, this might have flown under the radar. In the current atmosphere Syracuse could not be seen to let anything borderline go.

How has this been allowed to happen? I ran track and field at a top NCAA program, which doesn't generate anything like the money bball does, yet I know some shady stuff went on if it looked like a key player could end up being academically ineligible for the conference or national championships. Pressure put on lecturers, "closed door" re tests and make up sessions in coaches office. Very surprised about this.

b4 this I had cuse in finals, couldn't decide who would win against mizzou, and had dion waiter's MVP ( i think he's going to go off big time)

This game really affects the K ST (if they beat S Miss) They are great on the offensive glass and, cuse can't defensive rebound even with fab...

But Dion Waiter's is good enough to carry a team, best guard in NCAA....

All I remember you writing was how Louisville was going to beat Syr 3 times this year and that Melo sucks. So isn`t `Cuse better off now with him out if he sucks as you suggest?

No need to kick him off the team, reports are in that he is declaring for the draft. I wish him good luck in the developmental league and then Europe. After he ruined this team I could care less that he is leaving.

Yeah, honestly he was a beast this year, I defend my players because they are kids and alot of them do stupid things, especially when your a 17 yr old McDonalds all American having agents and adults putting you on a pedistal and trying to exploit you for personal gain. However, I do not have tolerance for these kids screwing over their team or school. I'm not sure what he did, but this is an academic issue, he really let his team down here and the fans.

Should have just stayed off the team in the first place and we would be set for the tourney with Christmas and Keita seasoned.

Also I think the ruling came from the NCAA directly related to the first incident. There was some runblings I heard that HE didn't do all of the course work for the academic issue in question. Sounds like it is going to be a long off season for Cuse bball fans. Could have some rough sanctions coming.

Well I don't see Cuse winning the national championship, but this is still a seasoned team and while I think that Kansas St could be Cuse to say that they definately will is just pure stupidity. Cuse still has an incredible bench and some good offensive players. But in order to win a National Championship it's all about your centers. CJ Fair and Christmas will compensate in the first two rounds. K-State Might beat cuse but I still doubt that.

Books knew this before it came out. Had OSU as fave to come out of the region. My only problem with it is the seeding of the Cuse, had this come out this weekend the Cuse would have been a 3 out west.
