Don't do that. I have the same final. However, since it's done I hope you are right.

I'm an avoid Syracuse fan and maybe it's just the jinx in me, but all season long I have been saying the same thing. This is not a Championship caliber team. I just don't see the offensive consistency to beat some of the best teams in this tournament. I do think they have a good shot to win their Region because it is void IMO of a team that has total zone busting shooting and/or a great front line that can punish them on the boards. Vanderbilt I know is that sheik pick by many, but I think they are going to have trouble getting out of the 1st weekend. I think Harvard has a LEGIT shot to knock them out in the 1st round.
As you look at it too, they would be facing the tougher teams in the Region on shorter turnarounds which help to not give them prep time for the zone. I will be disappointed if they don't at least make the Elite 8.

The teams that are expected to win never do it seems. So I doubt they win it all.

first 1 seed out IMO. thought they had an easy nonconference schedule, then played the majority of the tough games in a down big east at home. also didnt think they were playing as well down the stretch and dont like some of the potential matchups they have early.

Prior to the brackets coming out all you heard about was Syracuse depth and how they look as good as they did in 2003 if not better. Any team that gets talked up like that throughout the season usually doesn't live up to expectation.
Although being a fan I am trying to just lower my expectations in hopes they will surprise me

I find it wierd that all year long almost every analyst believed that there were two teams that were better than the rest: Kentucky and Syracuse, now that Syracuse got into a few dog fights coming down the final stretch of the season and lost a game in the big east tourney I have not heard one analyst pick Syracuse to win, and I think only Jay Bilas had them coming out of the East. I don't really get how everyone turned on this team so easily. Eight of the top ten teams lost in their conference tourney including Kentucky, Syracuse, Kansas, Duke, UNC etc.
As a Huge Cuse fan, I think I watched every game this year or at least parts of every game this year, there was a point mid season when they looked better than any team in the Country. They have not looked like that dominant team in about a month now. Hopefully this loss will wake them up and get them back to form.
With that said, I am not nearly as hopeful as I was midway through the season that Cuse would be in New Orleans, but they are still a great team and are still easily title contenders. While I am not sure if they make it to New Orleans, they match up horribly against K-State and Vandy, I do know this. Anyone that has FSU coming out of the EAST is out of their minds. FSU is probably the worst trendy pick in years.

I think Vandy's luck runs out by then. Yes, Vandy, because The Badger's luck has long since ran out after their win in OSU.
