I am assuming you are 45ish
that means 20 years ago when there was no internet you were 25ish. I am curious - what did gamblers do to socialize before forums? Did you guys hang out at local bars all day/night sipping drinks and betting?
In a way I can see 20 years ago being more fun to be a gambler, because you are forced to get out of the house. Fukk, did people even have every game in their house?? would think you would have to be at a bar to bet out of market games if you want to watch the game

JJ tell me how it was man. You are a forum legend, but what was life before the forum?

When they invented the ticker, sportsbooks in Vegas were full of guys sweating out games while watching the ticker.

I was always out..jazz clubs, bars, in the streets
        Hookers...I had it all..fur coats..social clubs
        Bet heavy with locals..loan sharks..discos
        Big timer

I use to love hanging on street corners with my fur on

The Internet ruined me $$$..gambling, my mind , my soul

I second that with JJ. I am around his age and we used to gather for gambling Sundays with whoever had a 10 ft wide satellite dish and a phone with the locals number programmed into it for all 10 of us.

Internet made everyone shut ins if you are a gambler
Made many other people shut ins also in other areas

            Internet ruined live social interaction

Internet made it harder for locals also. They had complete control over their players by live interaction. Internet made a whole new breed of stiffs and also made a whole new breed of locals who stiff.

Only place I have had no problem if offshore.

I do miss those crazy ass gambling parties though. Those were good times.
