New Mexico 5 seed vs Long Beach St 12 seed

NM did, however look like they were going to blow a huge lead to the Rebels.
Granted they came through in the end by 5 but it didn't look as convincing as some here are touting.
I'm not touching Long Beach bur I am also not calling this on a lock fo rthe Lobos.

What a great matchup, the experts seem to lean NM here. They can really defend and are in great form. But be wary because LBSU is a savvy team with lots of experience and are not intimidated by playing anyone and have shown they can play with the best. But I think LBSU here pulls off somewhat of an upset as they have the explosive guard play to excel in the tourney along with a very though and athletic 1-3-1 zone they like to employ. NM is not a lock just because they won the MWC tourney, it means nothing when tourney tips off.

Very impressed with NewMex. recently, sad to say have not seen LBSu nor any other WCC? team this year save for few minutes of Final ... used to love to watch Pacific several years back when they dominated their conf. UNM can win a couple, too bad they didnt pit them against Purdue or WVU or one of the lame-o Colorado teams

Ive decided to roll with Long Beach St here. I have been riding them all year and they did well for me. I like New Mexico too but I think LBSU will be a little better this game.

New Mexico is my favorite sleeper in the entire field, the are a LOT better than Long Beach and they are the best team right now from the best mid-major conference in the country.

That's what I am thinking. Too bad my 250:1 bet to win it all was limited to $10 on 5dimes.

I was planning on riding LBSU in the tourney but this is the worst possible matchup for them. Have a better chance of beating Duke IMO

LBSU student here and yes I do believe we have a great chance at pulling an upset. We have played a lot of top teams and they were close games against north car, lousville, kansas, pittsburg. All of the starters are seniors and they have played all 4 years together and this is their last year at a chance to go all the way together. Look out for the upset win

Very good game. Start was sloppy. Lots of turnovers. Long Beach St had the lead late in the game but Ware just played bad down the stretch. Oh well. Still fun to watch.

close game??? new mexico controlled the entire game, yeah lbsu tied it and even took a small lead at times but you could tell new mexico was never really in trouble while the beach was chasing all game

Yeah close game. Maybe we watched a different game but I would say this was a 4 pt game 90% of the game? 4 point game I would consider close. Maybe I'm wrong.
