Cloned Books with Exact Same Odds - USELESS
Including some A and B rated here.

I realize there are different reasons bettors may want multiple books.

But for many of us, it's a matter of now and then getting a half point difference.

Some of these books show at any one point in time the EXACT same pointspread on each and every game.

Talking about foots, college and pro, but it's likely it's no dif for hoops and hardball. Sometimes, there's a small variance in the juice - but I've never seen even a half point off on the spot.

You can tell they use the same software - site must be run by an independent third party. Kind of like Leroy's in Nevada, a "one-size-fits-all" mentality.

I don't really need to post up at a number of books if some are clones of each other.

I won't mention who they are - users know what I mean. And, there are likely others who are in the same "one-size" boat with other books.

But one of them is supposedly run by one of the sharpest linemakers in the biz. (Are others copying him? Are they pooling their bets?)

I do agree that prompt payment, fair WD fees, good CS, like that, are al very important.

But it would be nice to see a note somewhere on the site as to which books are moving in exact lockstep.

Skybook sometimes has a half pt diff line. And save for 3 & 7 the chance to move it a half point. Not a commercial, just the facts.

What other good books(A and B - ok maybe C+) are not marching in simultaneous goosestep?

Most books use the same lines now therefore eliminating having multiple books or a line service.

The whole thing is copy cat. Cris sets the line and everyone follows.

Its tough to beat this game.

You mean they're all "moving on air?"

Without regard to the bets they themselves are getting?

        All of them?

Can't believe Pinnacle would join the mob.

I don't agree with that Sir, some bigger book moving line faster then small books, or Juice as well, I prefer to play at a medium book and big books all the time, a lot of time you can save the juice or 1/2 points at list.

Books might clone lines, but the bonus packages are not all the same. So that to me deems them to be useful.

I'm confused about what point is being made.

Yes, some books are clones like Sportbet/Gamblers Palace. Bookmaker/DSI (except for baseball). Those relationships are never secret and if you sign up at a couple of clones hoping to find variety of lines, you have no one to blame but yourself.

But there are all kinds of books out there. Their lines will still match up with other books a lot. And then a book will move it's line and it will stop matching some books and start matching others. That's just the way betting works. There is not going to be a HUGE variance. Of course we would all love it if there was, but that's not how the game plays.

Doing the work to find out where the unique lines are is what separates pros from amateurs. That's why this forum is such a useful tool for pros. There is so much good information flowing around once you figure out who to listen to (and, perhaps more importantly, who to ignore).

Example: BetJoint is usually going to have lines that match a whole bunch of other books. But I know that playing there, I'm going to find a few situations every week where they are going to have the very best line on something I want. So I keep a funded account there.

It is an essential part of business to find as many books like that as possible. A book like Legendz, I could go for months and never see them having the best line on something I want. On the other hand, Matchbook and Pinnacle are absolute musts for their lines. To a lesser extent, books like ABC Islands and Intertops will leave lines hanging out.

Some books are good for some specific bets only. Like you would be silly to use The Greek for MLB moneylines but on certain props, they are a must. NCAAF moneylines as well.

Learning these angles is work. It takes work to be successful at betting.

The line starts somewhere, and everybody works off that..Line management is an art..good line managers are at a premium..the important thing is not to have a opinion..watch the $$, the smart players, and the market..its a process that can be taught, but only to the right person..
