Fishhead Only Guy That Ever Beat Horses
I challenged him 5 years ago that he could not beat the horses

    1. Guy was not a horse player
    2. He Picked Big M trotters as his track
    3. What a grind but he did turn a profit like he guaranteed

Yes, I told him that after 100 races that I would indeed be up..........and was.

HARNESS, not dogs or thoughbreds, I can beat fairly consistantly...........learned to handicap these at a very young age and was around the sport lots in my younger days.

One of the keys is to play select races,.............. as I never play non-winners races, Trot races(break to easy), or the featured race of the evening(to much of a shootout). I concentrate my efforts on the medium range claiming races and incorporate a rating for each horse based on a number of key factors.

Last year I played the Meadowlands on Friday night over at the dog track here in St. Pete..........won 14 of 16 nights.

Lots of dead money at the BIG M on Fridays.

Some people are natural gamblers. To beat the dog track 14 of 16 nights says that you are a natural gambler.

you will never hear about winners at the races, and there are many. very simply cause it is based on a pari-mutual system. thus if they release their tips it will skew the odds against them, and dramtically reduce their payouts. smart ones will never release their methods. if you listen to goofballs like andy beyer and them to form an opinon then your sadly mistaken. he is only capable of picking the favorite cause he has the GOOD numbers. a blind man could see that.

The legendary horse bettors who alledgedly beat the game were all before the advent of the pari-mutuel system.

When each track had individual bookmakers operating under umbrellas. And you could shop for odds. Literally. Walk from umbrella to umbrella.

And, Pittsburgh Phil, almost mytical, made his bones before the advent of the Racing Form - he got his edge by watching the races and making his own charts.

The game is too "inside" and corrupt for most outsiders to have a chance, added to mutuel takes of from 16 to 35%. (Which is why books will give you fat rebates on horses, but not on sports.)

That said, I know I can come out ahead consistently betting horses --- by following the money. Which means sitting in front of at least two laptops, and probably three, 6-9 hours a day, one or two to track the tote numbers in detail, the other to made fast bets near post time.

Olvidalo, as they say in Mexico. Forget it. Life's too short.

Fishhook is one of the best around. He knows the game as well as anyone, and is one of he few to post publicly.
