    Spread vs ML betting
Which do you prefer? I'm not a fan of laying too much juice down, especially at this time of the year but I don't really like giving points up either. Been doing a good job with just ML and parlaying a few -250 to -350 teams together..what do you prefer?

IN Europe ML is by far the most popular bet

Tough to say but by nature us Americans like the point spread

That is mainly all I bet, especially during NCAA Basketball. I have had a lot of success.

The spread was maybe the greatest invention ever. The fact that something almost meaningless gets so much credit and talked about so much is incredible.

But the simple answer is pick a winner and you will be fine. If more people looked at games and just picked a side they liked BEFORE the spreads were put to it they would have more 'success'. But that doesnt automatically mean MLs are the way to go either.

When books offer both then you can be sure the true 'odds' are no where near actual probability or 'fair' pay off. So even if you hit a +225 dog on the ML the truth is it should have been more like +250, and is thus ~11% worse than it should have been. Trying to make a profit when youre habitually getting 10% less than you should is a bad way to go.

If I wager ML's I almost always use Dogs. Or I parlay 3 or less favs.

Go to vegas insider and check which type of bet do the MLB leaders. I really believe their record as many of the best handicappers have a losing balance overall.

All I bet is totals. Picking winners is for suckers. Let me bet the total.

I'm terrible at totals. I lose my head after losing a few games by just a couple points
