How ungrateful are Lakers towards Pau Gasol ?
Gasol has been in LA for 4 seasons and they have gone to 3 NBA finals and won 2 NBA championships.

Name me any other player in the history of NBA who has that kind of an impact on a team in his first 4 seasons.

And now lakers want to trade him for one bad performance in a playoff series?

I hope lakers dont win anything in the next 5 years of kobe era. Ungrateful bastards.

They shouldn't trade anyone relevant on their team, not gasol or bynum.

        He's soft and regressing.

        Bynum is the foundation.

Pau get's disrespected. He's responsible for 2 NBA Championships. What's his repayment? They look to trade him in the CP3 deal. Not right.

Listen... the Lakers have a good scoring guard (Kobe), a dominant center (Bynum) and no reasonable point guard.

CP3 would have made them favorites along with OKC in the west so why would they not have done that deal? Gasol isn't bad but CP3 makes that team better.

I'm a big fan of Gasol's skill set, but Kerry is spot on here.

Yah, I don't know if it would be worth losing both big men though. For CP3 maybe, I wouldn't do it for howard though.

also, you are forgetting the lakers aren't coached by phil jackson anymore and with triangle offense, point guard is unnecessary. with this new offense, you need a better pg. the current team is gonna get swept by okc...

The CP3 deal would have been one of the best moves in franchise history. Definitely understandable.

I'm not sure they can get anything worthwhile for him now though.

The NBA is a business. You can't keep someone just because of the past. You have to keep them for what they will bring in the present and future.

The plan was to get howard and paul for pau and bynum. This would've gave them two players to replace kobe and keep them at the top for years to come. Obviously David Stern had other plans.

Understand Gasol trade rumors, but not sure why the Lakers want to get rid of Bynum. Considering age, I'd take Bynum over Howard I think. I guess Lakers think Bynum will continue struggling with injuries?

completely agree with you op. Gasol is essential to the Lakers and they will be making a big mistake if they do trade him.

bynum hasnt played a single season without injuries...big men with leg injuries will always have injurues.
