I see Arsenal -½ -128 against Kiev today.

But the moneyline is better, -126.

What possible drawbacks could there be to betting the ML, Arsenal to win? Why don't they make it -1/2 -126?

You'll see this kind of discrepancies all the time, especially at high volume shops. It's not unheard of for Pinnacle to offer a better price using the point sell drop-down than a straight ML play when a game is close to Pk'em.

sounds like a 3-way market where a tie loses, so -.5 and ML are the same bet.
