    Common sense handicapping locks.P Manning-Tavaris Jackson,Pats-Jets-USC-Ohio State
Every week there are games that jump out at you that will make you a winner of contests like Beat The Prick but a person thinks yourself right out of betting on these games.Even with injuries and such you say to yourself,is a Peyton Manning led team going to lose to Tavaris Jackson. Are the Patriots even without Brady going to lose to the Jets even with Brett Favre. Is USC at home going to do badly against Ohio State without Beanie Wells. These kind of bets come up every week and you just ask yourself questions like that and they are no brainers.Pretend you are listening to a postgame scoreboard show where you hear the scores or see a newspaper where it says,Tavaris Jackson rolls over Colts with explosive passing attack.

So what's a few of the games this weekend that fall into this category?Penn State at home against Temple? If Penn State wants to,they can beat them by as much as they want. What's the spread?About -24 to -26 range? What's the weather calling for at Beaver Stadium?

Calling things common sense after the fact is hardly impressive.

Brent... the great thing about Penn State is there back-up QB Pat Devlin will come in after they are up 24 or so. He broke the Pennsylvania high school record for career passing yardage. And Daryll Clark is a Donovan Mcnabb prototype.I just hope I can get this at under 28.

        Brent,

I'm a bit skeptical of Penn St. covering over 4 TD's against this Temple team. Sharp money poured in on Temple at the open, as Penn St. opened as 30 point favorites. It's now down to 28 at some books. I did agree with the others as fairly easy picks though. There looked to be an easy one in your backyard at the Metrodome this weekend. However, with Frerotte starting in place of Jackson, it doesn't look so simple any longer. Good luck though.

You know it took basically a miracle for the Colts to beat the Vikings by 3 points? And the Pats/Jets game could have gone either way too.

The only game here that was a lock from the start was Ohio St. at USC.
