everyone knows its Marquettes year this year to win it, theyve been playing out of their mind all year long. Shit like the big east tourney means alot to these marquette perennial losers. I would imagine the kids and the staff are putting major precedent on something like winning the big east tourney

Top 8 teams breakdown:

8. West Virginia= Sleeper possibility, pissed away so many games in the season that they know they belong with the elite teams
7. Louisville= ZERO chance
6. South Florida= Intriguing for scalping possibilities but I can't see them winning it all (winning a game or two? definately possible)
5. Georgetown= Very good chance, they are very long and athletic this season and always well coached
4. Cincinnati= Remote chance, very limited offensively because they have no sets
3. Notre Dame= Great season but only an average shot at winning the whole thing
2. Marquette= Never won the BET or anything basically, should be hungry to win it all. Hate them but very talented.
1. Syracuse= Boeheim won't risk playing his studs too much, early exit on the horizon

Okay folks either Marquette, Georgetown, Notre Dame, or West Virginia wins this thing. Sorry, probably not much help but just my opinion. I would buy West Virginia now because they can at least make the semifinals to face Cincy or G-Town. I'd probably buy West Virginia and Georgetown and then scalp if WV was to beat G-Town

I disagree, West Virginia has the best player that will be on the floor this week in Kevin Jones. They have a proven post presence in Kilieci. With adequate production from Truck Bryant, they'll at least make it past Cuse into the semis

3. They only lost by 4 against ND (ND mopped them in South Bend but it was a sandwich game for WVU)

Remember that was without Melo. Huge factor in that game because WV hammered SU on the boards w/out Melo in there. Top seed doesn't always fare well in this tournament. Think I looked back and the #1 has only won twice in the last eight tournaments. To me, Georgetown or Marquette are the danger teams as far as the ones I think could win in place of Syracuse.

Louisville could be in the mix too, but their shooting has been way off lately .. they'll have to win ugly.
