don't think so..they are 12-4 and Southern Miss is 11-5 so if Memphis loses and Southern Miss wins, Southern Miss beat Memphis so I believe they hold the tie breaker.

Memphis is not exactly a lock for the tournament if they lose this game(although they are most likely in but with precious few quality wins its hard to say), so even if they had locked up the regular season title, I wouldn't necessarily say that their looking forward is a factor. Beyond any of that though, I'm not really sure that I trust this Memphis team to take care of business at Tulsa, but they probably will.

Best pick for me today:
This afternoon Memphis can lock down the C-USA Conference title with this win against Tulsa, which puts them ahead of Southern Miss which is one game behind and if they tie Southern Miss would get the title because of the tie breaker. Memphis needs this win.. although things do look good for them with a probable chance of getting a birth in the tournament this game is pretty much a MUST win to pretty much secure and provide good chances of everything else for the tournament. Memphis is not that bad of a squad they've improved since the beginning of the season and have lost only 5 games the likes of louisville, murray st and georgetown.. they're last three losses has have been by a combined 6 points. Pretty tough losses.. I'll still take Memphis in todays matchup for the cover!

My take = Memphis -3.5

I'm taking Tulsa in the 2H if I can get a good line. Memphis will let their lack of discipline and fundamental ineptitude take over. HHAHAHAHA.....not to mention they just let Tulsa go on an 8-0 run in the last 2 minutes of the half. Memphis coach needs to be fired.

no if anything I think that might have been the best thing for memphis instead of having a huge lead and than getting complacent 2nd half. they do not have the 1st seed wrapped up so the coach should rip into them.

Tulsa shot a pretty bad FG% in the first half. If they can pick that up, and Memphis keeps getting points in transition, you probably have a good shot at o73. But, if Tulsa can make some adjustments and get back on defense, you might catch a case of the Memphis half court game.....and that sir, is a sickness.
