last time I checked, Sarah Palin wasn't running for President. Bottom line, Palin was picked to excite the conservative base. Some of that conservative base was going to stay home on November 4th becase McCain is a moderate Republican whereas Palin is conservative (one of the reasons many women dislike her while men love her). However, the overwhelming load rests on McCain's shoulders. McCain vs. Obama? It's not even a contest. I'll take my chances with John McCain even if he's more moderate Conservative than I would like.

And McCain isn't dying. If anyone, look at Obama's family history. Neither of his parents made it past 55.
