    Lakers turn down Beasley trade
Minnesota offered Beasley for a 1st, lakers turned it down because they don't want to pay luxury tax. I guess theyre not trying to win after all. Beasley would of fit in perfect at the 3

What is 6 mill in luxury tax to the lakers franchise? Its not there playing in Charlotte. Should of jumped all over this.

Agreed. He would fit all there needs as a scorer who could create his own shot, take pressure of Kobe, and they're passing because they don't want to pay 6 mill in luxury tax? Looks like Rasheed for the vets min is the route they're going

no shit I told you this. lakers are dumping salary. Plain and simple. I figured Minn wanted more, which they probably did, but since beasely is a another misfit I figured lakers would take him if they offered him for jus a first round pick, the looks to not be that gret anyway, assuming it was the one they are getting from Dallas. So it is obvious no one else wants Beasely either because he is just a bad guy on a team. Discipline head case basically, but with aArtest and soon to be Wallace he would make the third hanson. They could have had bobblehead night and put big horned rim glasses on these guys and sold foil at the concession stands. Missed opportunity.

Thats why I say when Gasol gets traded if the league allows it dont be surprised with the shit the lakes get back for him.

If you ask me this is the best route they can go right now. Until Kobe retires this team wont do shit, and I have been telling you that for a long time now.

Beasley would of fit in well with the leadership of Kobe and fisher. They would of kept him in line. Guy can score the ball.

Can't imagine Kobe will be happy with this news especially after the Lamar salary dump

LA lifestyle would be too much for Beasley to handle. Kid has issues.

Bingo. Beasley is a big risk for a team with already fragile chemistry.

When a number 2 overall pick in the draft actually turns out to be fairly decent cant be given away you know there are issues with him.

Minn in theory would be getting less than what they paid for him, they got two second rounders for him from Miami.

So I am sure this one will get mixed reactions, he is clearly more talented thnan just about everyone the lakers have now, they get him for a pick and he makes them better on the court. I guess theyre scared that he smokes wed, and has hdad more than a few other issues.

But seriously if the lakers wanted to get better he is a no brainer. But his value is low because of the issues he has. Obviously if Phil were there he would have been signed along time ago, but since he is the deal isnt getting done. Just another example of why lakers have issues that arent just on the floor.

Will be done by morning, Beasley for Blake, Blake goes to blazers, Crawford to Minnesota.

                        Good move for all sides.

Beasley can't help the lakers. He is not a great scorer or rebounder and definitely won't pass the ball. The lakers already have someone just like Beasley on the roster and he is calling games for them. Luke Walton.

Buss made it known it was time to run Lakers like a business... if they were willing to pay luxury tax, they wouldn't have dumped Odom for nothing. Why would they all of a sudden be willing to pay the tax?

I expect Lakers to trade for Sessions. Steve Blake +1st rounder for Sessions

I don't think Beasley is the best they can do. They need someone on the lines of a Batum or Caron Butler (not saying they are available for trade)

Ron Artest has never been a scorer. I thought trading away Ariza was a mistake.

Artest is shooting .250 from 3pt range, if he shot even .350 (which is what he shot last yr) Lakers would be 35-8

Cavs now with 2 first rounders this year and next, could be a quick rebuild.
