After last nights game, it is obvious the Lakers need to get older and slower. Great move.

#3Absolutely unreal! I don't see how Rasheed is going to do anything that Gasol can't do better. Someone needs to fire the Laker higher-ups! They need a ball handler or a three point shooting specialist. Sickening...I'm a Blazers fan and I'm not supposed to like the Lakers, but I don't like to see an organization implode like this...Comment -

#4Lakers haven't been playing Josh Mcroberts at all. This kind of makes me think that they have a deal agreed to, don't want him to get hurt, and they need to sign and 2nd/3rd string PF to take McRoberts place. There were rumors that Mcroberts was going to be part of a deal for Ramon Sessions, so maybe that's what's happening.Comment -

#24I didnt want to be the guy who wrote this as the forum stalkers would have been calling it 'hate'.
I have said all along how shit the lakers are already, if/when they trade Gasol they are worse. All moving him does is free up a lot of money which I am assuming they will use to try and buy someone next year. Which also probably assumes they think they can somehow foll Howard into coming here as well.
Which I doubt happens. Cant see it at all. Because Like I say the common denominator is Kobe whom no one really wants to play with. Especially when they arent even in the same universe as a gold ball. They couldnt get guys to come there when they were collecting them. So maybe Jim Buss is just dumping all the 'talent' they have. Which Gasol is really the last piece. And just going to ride it out. Hope Bynum can stay healthy and maybe possibly build a team around him once Kobe leaves.
While they arent good now trading gasol makes them worse. Sessions is someone that no one has ever heard of. Guy has played for some of the shittiest teams in the league and still hasnt been a regular starter, yet he is somehow the answer for the lakers and their hopes of getting back to championship caliber? What a frigging joke. So it looks like these guys running the Lakers are simply looking to get any point guard they can find because every other arm chair 'expert' says that is their most pressing need. despite the fact that since Kobe has been there (about 17 years) they have never ever had a 'true' point guard. So theyre just going through the motions and doing what peopel will think is the 'right' thing.
In the end Gasol on the Cavs will be closer to a ring than the lakers will. Assuming it is a simple two team trade and they dont try to get all fancy and have some convoluted 3 or 4 team deal and try to put one over on everyone.Comment -

#26What are you talking about? Since when was Gasol ever going to be traded to Cleveland? Wait, don't tell me that you think the Lakers are planning to get Sessions by trading Gasol for him? That can't be what you mean, but if it is then you don't have a clue what you're talking about.Originally posted by wantitall4moiIn the end Gasol on the Cavs will be closer to a ring than the lakers will. #27First of all that trade wouldn't work, salary wise. Second there is no way they would trade Gasol straight up for Sessions no matter what. I would love to have sessions but there would be something different in the work then straight up for Gasol.Comment -
