He allegedly tested positive for elevated testosterone. There are any number of substances that can elevate your testosterone and since Braun is maintaining his innocence no one knows what he was actually taking, if anything.

It was not a performance enhancing drug, rather it was a banned substance.

IN any event, it doesn't matter because he was exonerated.
