Because he plays in fear and has no heart.

Also some hate him because he left a team that had 66 TEAM wins, 3 all star selections, number 1 ranked TEAM defense, home court in the playoffs, to try to form Team USA in the NBA. Then he choked in the finals even playing for Team USA, just like he did in the playoffs, with the best record in east cavs. Just needs some more "support" still.

Those guys weren't afraid to ruin an image and actually competed though. That's why people respected them. The same way guys like MJ and Kobe will not let fear guide their paths..

The same reason Durant is in the 3pt contest, not afraid to lose.

I do and I hate him, but I do admit he is essentially the best player in the league currently along with Durant. Many (I know not you personally) kobe haters claim the lakers are a lottery team and Kobe isn't a top 20 player even.

Lets just have blake griffins, lebron's and kobe's do crappy dunks and let them win anyway because that's what the fans want to see.

I understand this concept, and I'm not saying I don't agree with you..

But Lebron shouldn't talk such huge game, and back out then. Like he did recently announcing he would be in one. Then, getting scared and backing out.

LeBron is a great dunker, that's a fact. Problem is he's the only great dunker to have never stepped up and competed in the dunk contest.

All those guys were great dunkers in their time and all competed at least once in the dunk contest. LeBron has dodged it out of fear, there's no other explanation. Great shooters have never had problems competing in the 3 point contest, I don't know why we always get stuck with relative no names in the dunk contest. Chase Buddinger, Derrick Williams, and Jeremy Evans? I hadn't even heard of Jeremy Evans. At least Paul George is a budding star.

Lakers need to stop fuking around with useless players. Rasheed? Really?

They also need to start feeding the big men more often and get it into Kobe's head to feed off them first, and not him. He would be much more efficient if he feed of them two towers. They won't be a lottery team, but will be a bottom tier playoff team. Dangerous though, with how hot Kobe can get.

I always lol when people say that Cleveland team wasn't any good. Really? How did they have 66 wins? How did they have the best defense? Everyone just looks at names.

He really should do the dunk contest, he's obviously afraid he'd lose and it would hurt his image.

It will never happen, but I would love to see them add a 1v1 tourney to the all star weekend. Dont think anyone could beat lebron, but how sick would it be to watch a 1 on 1 matchup between rose and howard or something like that. 8 man tourney, fans pick players and seeds
