Event takes place at the SBR Poker room.

• When: Sat. Feb 25th at 5:00PM ET
• Buy-in: 50+5 pts
• Rebuys: 50+5 gets you another 2,000 chips. If you lose an all-in hand, the rebuy window will pop up.

Prize-pool
1st. 30%
2nd. 25%
3rd. 15%
4th. 9%
5th. 7%
6th. 5%
7th. 4%
8th. 3%
9th. 2%

*SBR will guarantee that the prize-pool equals 100% of all buy-ins, rebuys and add-ons (5-point fees not included). Adjusted prize-pool will be posted once event is full.

Fine-print
1. Unlimited rebuys until the 1st break at the 60 minute mark.
2. One add-on (50+5 pts for 2k chips) offered at first break.
3. All prizes are SBR Points.

i appreciate the regular qualifying being free entry for pros...but any tourney whether its this saturday tourney or the sunday high roller, i see no reason why sbr has to guarantee a prize pool above what is entered.

Ive played 1000 rebuy tournies online and live and ive never seen that, if you guys ever wanna learn how to run a tourney correctly shoot me a PM, i used to floor poker and know how to do it right, dealt for a decade and floored for another 6 years. No wonder you restructured it, you werent raping enough points from the players, lol. Ask any poker player that plays tournies regularly and they will tell you that the house never takes money on the rebuys and add ons, only on the initial buy in, and if they have played tournies like that then they're suckers, lol.

Technically speaking, you are right and I missed that. SBR needs to look here:

Rebuys are not charged a rake. So if a rebuy tournament has a buy-in of $10+$1, then the rebuys will usually be $10 and all $10 of each rebuy will go into the prize pool. The prize pool and payoffs will not be announced until the rebuy period ends, since the prize pool increases with each rebuy.

Like I said, if I was SBR I wouldn't really offer a guarantee in the weekend tournies ever.

In this instance, I think they were in a hurry with poster, trivia, sportsbook, etc etc etc complaints they jumped over this slight detail as did I and some of the others.

Well I forgot about Pizzas. I havent ordered any ever I can say that. But I did get a few gift cards come to think of it. I am playing either way as I actually really like rebuy tournaments.

i dont plan on playing any rebuys now or in the future. i could give a fukk if sbr wants to take 70% of the prize pool in rake.

personally im just fine with having the high roller pay 150% and this one pay less than 100% but im only stating the fair thing

I've seen live tournaments were it happens (where they just take a fix percentage of the total buyins) and think the WSOP did this when they still had rebuy events...

While it isn't the norm online the format is better then previous set-up and when you consider where the points are generated from, the true value of points in things such as cash games in comparison to online sites that jackup the rake percentage on lowest stakes games and tournaments, and the fact that almost every tournament has been either free or has had added money personally I can find better things to worry about then a few extra points in fees on my rebuys...

From 2/13 to 2/26 this clown wins (4) 1st places, a 3rd and a 4th in the regular nightly tourneys. Most of them on bullshit calls and lucky coin flips! Man i pushed it too hard i casino! I woke up after heavy partying, oreded a pizza, cracked a beer. logged into SBR and paid secretstash 2 point and took the 4 to the casino not very optimistic, just put it all on the line each time 4,8,16,32,64 then 50,100 unreal i was upto 500, so i log onto poker and see the rebuy tourney starting in 5 minutes. i figure i'll play one more 100 point hand,lost and just made a foolish decision to keep playing and lost my windfall in 500 hands. Just thought I'd share the story 4 points to 500 points.
