Not sure about rules for tourists in the casino but for proline outside casinos anyone of legal age can play but they ask for photo ID if the winning ticket is over $300. A US citizen might have problems cashing a ticket over that amount, don't know what happens. I believe the reason for showing ID is you have to be an Ontario resident.

There is no resident/citzen requirement. The id is just to verify age. Being an American is no problems, we've got lots that come up here to play.

yea me too. To be honest I don't know what the id thing is for. It's not as if they even take down the information. They look at it and check the photo to see if it's you and then hand it back - what's the point? Yes I'm still me.

But being an American is okay, that I'm sure of.

If it was to verify age we'd be carded when buying the tickets. I'm only asked when cashing a ticket greater than $300

I remember being told that they want photo ID with signature to make sure the sig matches the one on the winning ticket.

ID is probably because there are some people who are "banned" from proline for winning too much etc. At least that's what I've heard. Pretty pathetic lol.

I've been waiting payment 6 months and counting on a ticket. Do yourself a fav and keep payouts under 999.90 per ticket.

I'm thinking if you hit some big amount it would cause problems. I know people who hit over a certain $ figure have to appear on the website and magazine. They would love a big winner to not be a citizen as Im sure Proline'd be able to cause hell for them.
