Sureal scenes, theyre pulling out an L.A.P.D. officer from the wreckage who has died and every police officer on the scene has lined the tracks to give a guard of honour to their comrade as he is taken away, its pretty powerful stuff.

Freight train hit the passenger train head on, pushing the passener train engine inside the train, like a telescope, the people in the first half of the first car wouldn't have stood a chance. Theyre saying at least 20 dead and theyre still taking people out.

Head on, both travelling at each other without warning and right on a 90 degree curve.

we didn't have a crash like this by me, but about 2 years ago a train derailed not far from me, and because of whatever was on it, chemicals of various forms, alot of people were evacuated , i was right on the border line, but the railroad still set up a center at a nearby hotel to give people money for causing a mess in the area. the money varied by how far you were from the center of the location, i was right on the cut-off line of the perimeter, so i got $100 bucks, had to stand in line for about 4 hours to get it.

Scary Shit. My biggest fear is being involved in something like this. Heard about it from someone right when I got to work tonight. Very sad ordeal.

Checked out the photo at LA times.com. The officer killed in the line of duty happened to be a woman.

It was a nasty accident... literally 3 miles from were it happened...
We have metro link train that goes between our valleys to Downtown Los Angeles, seems like someone forgot to switch the tracks, trains hit head on...
you can hear the ambulances and firetrucks all day and into the night..
for all the people involved =
