The Most Amazing Thing Is Jermey Lin Is..............
He is the leader of the team and has full command of the locker room and the team already

Never ever heard of a guy that was a nobody and has done this in 2 weeks

The guy is a fierce competitor and I think being overlooked because he is Asian

Opposing guards are saying he is stronger and bigger than you think

He seems to be developing into a killer..which is so rare for a non black player

Well yeah... I almost turned the game off when he was out. They not only squandered maybe a 12pt lead (just from memory so maybe a bit less) but then went down like 9. They looked awful. An absolute mess without him there. But... you can't play the guy 46mins of a game every time against hard ones. That's not feasible. Need Melo back and I guess they need some coaching magic. You cannot make a player soak up that many minutes 2 or 3 games in a row.

I hope they figure it out though. Go watch a game of his and experience it. When will you ever feel that vibe again?

Yeah, Dirk was getting frustrated and yelling at Marion about "where he thought Marion would be". I love Dirk but I haven't seen a Knicks championship in my lifetime (too young to see--born in 71). I'm dying for it and Jeremy Lin is making his mark. He totally outplayed Kobe. Magic Johnson has been praising him. I saw Magic play at the Garden, best passer ever in person. Lin is a real role model. Harvard, the works. Everyone should root for this kid.

No doubt. Its a great story. Kid seems like the real deal.

Him and Tebow are exactly what sports badly needed.

Another guy who doesn't watch basketball.

I love people who just read the stories and don't pay attention.

Guy has all the skills to play his position and more. As JJ said, raises EVERYONE ELSE'S PLAY when he's out there. With his vision, they know that if they run with him they're gonna get the ball for an easy basket. Truly an awesome story -- These are the best stories in sports, when someone who was disregarded finally gets his shot and goes nuts with it, showing everyone what he had in him all along.

I'm a Celtics fan and can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm actually a closet Knicks fan now. I've been completely turned by this guy. I was so jacked up watching him and Novak and the rest of em step up and knock off the Mavs yesterday.

lin is fun to watch and quite a good basketball player.

but given the choice nobody in their right mind would pick him over lebron, wade, or even bosh

so he would be the 4th best player on the heat AT BEST

LIN IS GOOD but hes not great. Yet. He turns the ball over a little too much but I understand he's pretty new to the PG position. ESPN makes us hate great stories and focuses too much on one thing. Its like your favorite song getting played on the radio every other song. Eventually you are going to hate it.

but let's be realistic here, he's more than a little overhyped like tebow was

Mike: You know your stuff but Lin and Tebow aren't even close as being overhyped. Tebow was already a star in college and isn't as good of a pro as Lin is. Lin had no press coming out of college and he's wreaked havoc like I've never seen a player do before.

This reminds me of Timmy Smith in the Super Bowl for the Redskins. The difference being is that Lin is able to SUSTAIN his excellence.

Lin is basically playing the whole 4 quaters of the game you don't think he's gonna make mistakes and turn the ball.

i agree that lin hasn't been overhyped UNTIL NOW. but over the last few weeks he has been mentioned 100x as much as lebron, and if you haven't noticed miami has won 6 in a row, san antonio has won 10 in a row, but almost all anyone is talking about is lin.

that was the comparison i was trying to make, that for a month or two tebow was getting more press than the top 5 qbs in the nfl COMBINED.

I know I was taken in hook, line, and sinker when I was at a bar watching him school the Lakers in that Friday night game. What's most impressive is how grounded this kid is. No amount of attention is gonna get him off his game. Head is screwed on straight, as you would expect from a clean-cut Harvard kid.
