Understand that if you're talking about recreational or losing bettors big parlays are better. They give the rec player a realistic chance to get lucky and win a substantial amount. Whereas straight bets almost guarantee a loss after a relatively smaller sample.

I'd rather use the term" running odds" over "true odds". True implies ( to me) no vig.

BLACKJACK using Revere Advanced +/- which Julian Braun pointed out was the most powerful single-level counts.

True Count configured to the nearest half deck...Aces, which are kept track of separately(since they have GREAT VALUE in determining proper bet size... but POOR VALUE in determing playing strategy) are counted as "zero" in a "playing strategy count"

        2,3,4,5,6 = +1

        9, X = -1

        7,8,A = 0

        Head up against the dealer:

        Dealer shows a 9
Player holds a hand of 3,5

We have a RUNNING COUNT of = +1...configured to the nearest HALF DECK we have a TRUE COUNT of = + 1/2

In a SINGLE-DECK Vegas Strip game(blackjack pays 3 to 2....NOT 6 to 5...and dealer stands on soft 17) that TRUE COUNT would equate to a player edge of 0.5%

Agreed.... in that case, if one were truly a recreational bettor... one would best got to BetTrojan/TopCat(SBR Rating = C......TOW Forum Rating = 4[high-risk sportsbook as far as safety of player funds])

ah, Julian Braun. He was my favorite. But don't ask me to remember why.
