Heads Up Poker Tourney to crown a Champion

Entry Fee 50 points - Winner take ALL.
Send the points to me to enter.
Each round will be played as quickly as possible 2-3 days.
Tournament will start March 1<SUP>st</SUP>. Please show your interest early to see if this tourney will work.

How it is played:
Each player converses to arrange a time to play at the 0.25/0.50 SBR poker table.
Each player sits down with 50 points.
They play until one play has busted out.
Test runs show the average game is about 30 minutes with about a 10 point rake.
If another player joins the table during the match, then just hit sit out a hand and ask the other player to leave as you are playing a Heads Ups Tourney Match.

I will set up the brackets to start the tourney and get the matches playing in a timely manner.

Basically if you win your first match your tourney costs are covered.

Exactly right. Win your first match and the event is a push for you.

The rake is going to end up eating the players alive. What happens if the 3rd player doesn't leave? What if one of the two players in the heads up match are below the minimum buy in when that happens? If it's a winner take all, then you have to trust the loser will transfer his winnings from the 1st round on (if he hasn't burned them in the casino to that point). There is no increase in blinds to force action. Someone could also sneak a small rebuy in that could go unnoticed.

True a lot of variables. Would be nice if SBR could set something up. But as for the loser transferring winnings i think we need to give aggie the $50 entrance fee prior to the first match starting

Great idea I'm down. But I agree that the full entry should be paid to aggie before the tournaments start. How many people do you think would enter? I think the top 10 percent should be paid. 200 players 20 people should be paid. IMO

I would be game even under these rules.


However, for even if you win your first match, you are NOT guaranteed a push at all. Because if you lose your second match, then you lost 50 points in that match. As a matter of fact, if you win your first match, win second match but lose the third match THEN you broke even.

But you have to win at least 2 matches for a chance to break even
