#144The fact that you think Lebron shooting 30 percent against the spurs and scoring TWO points in crunch time the entire series against the mavs, while allowing 20 plus to Jason Terry, tells me all I need to know.Comment -

#146you can have your own opinion any time you want... but I will base my thinking on stats and fact...
stats say lebron and kobe have been equal in the finals
stats say lebron gets better in the post season... stats say kobe gets worse in the postseason
stats say lebrons stats crush kobes in the regular season
stats say lebrons stats crush kobes in the post season
So you can have your opinion all you want... Ill just rely on fact and stats to see what is true

#147Ok let's rely on facts.
Stats say those Cleveland teams were by far the best teams in the league year after year after year, but Lebron was never able to win a ring? Weird. If Kobe had a team with top 5 defense, top 5 offensive rebounding, and 66 regular season wins and a 1 seed every year, he'd have 4 rings.
Stats say Lebron has been terrible in the finals, and EVEN WORSE in the 4th quarter of the finals,
Stats say when Kobe actually got his own team, instead of passing to Shaq, he puts up 32 5 and 5 in the finals.
Stats say Lebron has cost his team two championships. And Kobe would have won both those series.

19 7 and 7 on 40 percent shooting is considered good?
Wait, i forgot you thought 22 on 30 percent shooting against the spurs was good.
Not even getting into the clutch time numbers of Lebron in the finals.

#163Funny, because his prime has 5 rings.
Since you LOVE stats, here's one, those Cleveland teams were statistically better then those Kobe/pau teams. stats don't lie right? Top 5 D? Top 5 offensive rebounding? How could anybody NOT win a title with those numbers? Dominating the regular season year in and year out too..
Kobe would have 4 rings with those teams. Period. End of discussion.

#168Big difference between a player that's on a good team vs one that's the franchise player of a bad team. The latter is going to take more shots, grab more rebounds, etc because he doesn't have as much talent around him. Not to take anything away from Love, but he's not really a player that makes those around him better, which I think is a critical defining factor when we start ranking the best players in the NBA. You can't answer this question with just a stat sheet.Originally posted by dlunc3Kobes name should not have even been mentioned on this thread. I remember Kobe going 5-1 in NBA finals
Lebron 0-2, and that 0-2, is solely because of his performance. Period. His 30% cost them the series against the spurs, and obviously he cost Miami a championship.

you really need to learn the game, man. scoring 19 on THIRTY percent shooting? You think that's good?
No shit nobody else averaged more then 12, he took all the fukin shots (and missed)
Funny, if that was Kobe, all you'd be talking about is how hes a ball hog and shot 30 percent
