#3I like the over 8.5 as well.
Duckworth has been absolutely terrible, having given up 11 runs, 19 hits, and 10 walks, in the only 15 innings he's pitched, That coupled with Minnesota being a much better hitting team at home, batting a 5th best .291 at home.
Liriano is a very good pitcher, but he has given up 7 runs to KC in 13 innings pitched, ERA of 4.72.
Over is 7-1-1 in MIN last 9 overall.
Over is 7-3-1 in MIN last 11 home games.
I see this game hitting 10 runs, Minn 7-3.

#6Twinkie run line -1 1/2
Why?
All 5 wins by Liriano have covered the run line.
Twinkies score 7 in last 2 games, each
Duckworth is 2-1 for the Royals, because the Royals score a shitload of runs in the two victories against the Tigers crappy pitching. His 1 loss was against the Indians, getting yanked after 4. Has control problems, Twins should walk, alot.
Dude, I went heavy on the run line, Liriano's 5 wins:
9/5 W 10-2 Det
8/20 W 3-1 Oak
8/15 W 9-3 Sea
8/9 W 7-3 KC
8/3 W 6-2 Cle
The only way the run line doesn't cover is its a slugfest in the eighth inning if Liriano gets pulled, and the Royals can get a 7 run eighth, or whatever.Comment -

#10The last 10 games the Royals have been batting .345 as a team against lefties, I don't think Liriano emerges from this start smelling like a rose. In fact, with the Royals at +300, I even think there's some value there. But my play is the Over 8' on this one, probably ending up 5-4 so I'm not keen on the RL.Originally posted by StraitShooter90% of the guys dont give a shit about your problems..and the other 10 are glad you have them..Comment -

#11Anything you've seen of Liriano earlier this year, and his only home loss, were before he went to the minors and figured it out. Would be shocking if Minnesota lost today at home given whats at stake.Comment -

#12Well Rogue, why can't KC get home, 10 runs last 5 games is not exactly knocking the ball around the park.Comment -

#13KC is where the value is at. Liriano's past success versus the Royals don't have much of a bearing on today's results. All I know is you are getting a club who hits lefties extremely well and has a decent pen versus a home team that is on the decline.Comment -

#14Darrell,
I agree that batting well does not equal scoring well, but your sample size is half what mine was. Over 10 games, the Royals are scoring 6.7 runs on average against lefties.Originally posted by StraitShooter90% of the guys dont give a shit about your problems..and the other 10 are glad you have them..Comment -

#32See, strike zone is huge. Thats the only way the Royals stay in this game, is a huge strike zone. Duckworth has lousy control. But if the umoire calls the batterbox line, a strike, Royal baclers have a chance.Comment -
