You Set The Odds....Prop Bet....most controversial betting question
Set the odds guys. Put all variables aside.....keep in mind all sharps, scrubs, poolssharks, the public no-nothings, etc etc. Basically, you are setting the odds of the average sports gambler long term. Profitable or not, keeping in mind some people are dumber than others while some are bright. Vegas lights are bright for a reason

Will person X be profitable in sports gambling long term?

    Yes. ____
    No. _____
    Break Even. _____

profitable for the gambler or profitable for "vegas"? I think long term "vegas" wins.

most of us lose money because of poor bankroll management, and not having enough patience. at least thats my problem.

                  yes +5000
                  no -2000
                  breakeven +3333

no-vig lines. Info direct from big UK books suggests only around 2% are profitable long-term. No reason to suggest that figure should be substantially different in the US.

Biggest reason is no one is willing to wait 3 or 4 checks until they get deposit 2k and then bet 50 100 bucks a game... for me I deposit say 200 bucks ... in theory I should only bet 4 bucks a game or 1 to 2% of your roll... but if I waited till I depsoited 2k... and bet 20 to 40 bucks a game... would feel like I'm making more progres.. when I deposit 200 I end up trying to take a shot for 150 and it'll lose by half a point or some shyt and then try doing a stupid parlay to get it back and that never works

Sorry dude, I had a search for it but I cannot find it.

It was from one of those "Future of the Industry" symposiums. The 2% figure was mentioned by the Ladbrokes CEO and the reps from the other books agreed that it was representative.
