Allen Iverson's bank account seized $154 million Gone
A judge has signed off an order that allows an Atlanta jewelry store to recoup a six-figure debt from former NBA star Allen Iverson directly out of his bank account, TMZ reported Monday.

Iverson, 36, was sued in 2010 for allegedly not paying a $375,000 bill to Aydin & Company Jewelers.

According to court records, the longtime 76er did not respond to the lawsuit and a default judgment was issued allowing the jeweler to collect $859,896.46 for the jewelry, as well as court costs, interest and legal fees.

After Iverson still refused to pay, a Georgia judge ruled earlier this month that the store would be able to recoup its money straight from Iverson's account.

It was unclear whether the store had received the money.

According to Jalen Rose, this is how NBA players spend 5 million dollars

                      2mill goes to taxes
                      $300,000 goes to his agent

leaves him them with half of what he started with

Buy himself a house, buys his parents a house. Buys a new car
Leaves him with maybe 1mill or less.

At this point, your boys starts calling you saying shit like "Oh Jalen signed a 5mill contact, lets get at him"
Also including other expenses such as insurance, money for family, travelling etc.

Thats how you spend 5 mill

Yeah im sure mostly, but it seems to say their allowed to get the money out of his account, kinda sounds like he "might" have it in there, possibly. My favorite player to watch behind Jordan, sad, I remember his Memphis days, him looking sad and depressed on the bench. Think alcohol is one of his biggest problems also, Memphis probably used him to sell some tickets, he really never played, when he went back to Philly, he was missing tons of layups, some with the left hand which Id previously hardly even seen A.I. try with the left hand before. Legs shot, guys like him careers end soon alot of the time when they really never played the game with fundamentals, when the speed is gone there is not much to fall back on.

The new house costs aren't an annual thing. These players are responsible for their own actions. If they let their "boys" get up inside their wallet too often...............they need to own it.

If you have even 1/2 of that at any point in your life and end up broke I am sorry but you deserve it. There is not one ounce of pity in me for him or anyone like this. THink of how many people have broke their asses working in this country and were conservative as possible with their spending and are being foreclosed upon...C'mon man! This is a classic example of natural selction, he gained / was given vast resources but now finds himself back with nothing.

If someone handed me 5 million i guarentee i could make it last a lifetime. Its very easy actually as long as you live within your means and invest it properly. You figure in 50 years thats a million a decade and 100k a year, living off 100k a year even before taxes is not a chore in the least.
