Gm2022girl: It's been an interesting ride for GM2022girl, she was in cruise control during R1 for most of the time against Picantel, and showed no signs of slowing down with a dominant stretch of picks over Sinister Cat. Being the lone lady in this event, Gm2022girl has caught some flack from some, and she looks to ride the role of underdog across the finish line.

I think +500 is a little too low for that kind of cap. What do the rest of you think? If memory serves me correctly your opponent hit an 11.25-1 dog on you, maybe anything over 8-1 we grade as to win one unit? Or leave as is?

It's part of the strategy. This contest doesn't really have much to do with actual handicapping.

It's harder to do that with the last day being Monday now, anyway. While you might be able to find some tennis or soccer dogs with those numbers, you aren't going to get any last minute NCAAF games with big ML dogs on a Monday night.

Well that's just not true. Ever seen Ana Ivanovic? And of course you see that in soccer as well. My guess is you tend to see more big underdogs in college football because you're a bigger fan of the sport than soccer or tennis and thus pay more attention and tend to notice when a big underdog hits on the ML. I'm not sure you'd know or care of some +1500 Brazillian Serie B soccer team won so it wouldn't stick in your mind. Strangely enough +1100 dogs in pretty much all sports win a little less than 8.3% of the time.

Agreed, I think the majority of games will come down to more skillful play as we get later in the tourney. These hail mary things happen from time to time as someone struggles.

Without even making a single play, Donjuan has taken a 1.40u lead over GM Girl as she started RD3 off on the wrong foot, tanking her Toronto Bluejays ML pick. Donjuan certainly doesn't need any cushion or operating room here, so GM Girl is in trouble early.

Not a chance. If you're good enough to hit a big dog, you deserve to go through.

Maybe have a limit on the number of big dogs you can choose though.

Well I think many would argue the real big dogs are more lucky than good, but I think it's just part of contest play. Guys get down a few units, they have to make up ground somehow, or else it'd just be a matter of waving the .

A couple of days in and having barely lifted a finger, Donjuan has put himself in a position to steamroll here over the fiery Gm2022girl, who has established herself quickly after joining SBR. Donjuan figures to turn this into very much of a statement game and show the rest of his fellow posters he won't be taking any early exits out of this thing. We're looking primed for a Donjuan and Durito showdown later on in the tourney, a collision course is set indeed as those two handicappers figure to put on a show for the ages. That's if Donjuan can keep his foot on the gas, it'll be interesting that's for darn sure.
