    packers -2.5 and broncos -3
    posted NFL ATS: 0 - 2

i like the pack to slow down peterson on the slow grass at lambeaux field (hopefully they let it grow a bit higher this wk, haha)

i think rodgers has more weapons at his disposal than jackson does, so i go with the home team who i think has the better qb, more weapons, and equal defense

i also like denver to do their usual and beat al davis's squad yet again, i think russell and mcfadden will be great players but not yet, it's too soon i think

i believe jay cutler will show marked improvement from the previous few yrs

looking to right the ship tonight

Against you on the Packers, I have MIN +3. Good luck on the Broncos.

i hope GB wins by 3 so i win and you push, lol

please give me your reasoning for taking the vikes,

i took GB because i trust their QB more (yes, that's how bad i think jackson of minny is), i trust his weapons more, i think the grass and GB athletic defense will slow down peterson

The Vikings defensive line is one of the best in the league after acquiring Jared Allen this offseason. They should be solid at stuffing the run and creating pressure on Aaron Rodgers. Aside from the pressure that Rodgers will be feeling from the Vikings D-line, he will also have the additional onus of living up to the Packers decision in light of the Favre situation. Surely not many QBs are successful under that type of pressure. Meanwhile, Rodgers has not been crisp with many of his passes in the preseason and has a tendency to sail balls over receivers heads. This, along with the pressure he faces from the Vikings, could create a frustrating situation for him. If Rodgers struggles to be accurate and efficient in the passing game, the Vikings defense can load up the box and key in on Grant, effectively forcing Rodgers to beat them. On the other side of the ball, where the Vikings improved, the Packers lost a great defensive lineman in Cory Williams. A.J. Hawk is overcoming a chest injury and that could pose a big problem for the Packers in hoping to shut down Peterson. Aside from that, Peterson had success last year even when teams loaded the box against the Vikings, except in the latter stages of the season when he was struggling with a knee injury. Jackson will only be forced to throw if the ground game isn't clicking with the Vikings but they will look to wear down the Green Bay defense with it regardless. Jackson is also far more mobile than Rodgers and can create positive yards with his legs. I honestly think it's a wash between the two teams at the QB position. The Vikings have the edge in defense, special teams, and running back while the Packers only edge comes at wide receiver. They will need Rodgers to be accurate and well-timed with his passes and shut down the running attack of Peterson if they are to have a chance at winning this one.

great pts monkey, i think gb head man mccarthy knows all this and will put rodgers in situations where he can succeed, you know that ryan grant and gb offensive line is chomping at the bit right now to get out there and show who the better o-line and rb are, minny d-line is good no question but they will be on the grass not the field turf at home so they won't get the same jump off the surface

                  we'll find out soon!
