Sportingbet refuses to grade wager for 6 months and counting
A player wrote us, complaining that a Russian football match will not have its wagers graded. They gave no reason.

Sportingbet offered to void the wager for the player. This is rubbish - a book must pay a winning wager in a timely manner. In EXTREMELY rare circumstances, a wager *might* be voidable for fixing... I don't want to go there, but if you can't prove your case in 6 months, you won't ever.

Sportingbet declines to provide any evidence of fixing. My take on this: this is paramount to theft of the amount of the winning wager.

Between this and the recent bonus issues, I'd vote for a downgrade to a "D".

Either a D+ or a D would probably be a fair assessment IMO considering the two complaints that arose at roughly the same time Mr.Justin.

D or D+, yes. In part, I'm just furious. I wasted 15 minutes on the tele, and no one answered. That, and they don't respond to emails. Their CS is a friggin joke.

this book stoled me 1400 Euro for no reason 12 month ago

I guess This could be a reason to upgrade them to B+ here

What was the game in question? I can find out if it was on the fixed game list I bet last year.

Wow Justin. Your German is brilliant (are you a german?)

But I have to say: Ich habe mich vor 12 Monaten darüber beschwert. Es hat nichts genutzt. Sportingbet wurde von D+ auf C- aufgewertet.

              Irgendwie doof

I studied it, and worked one summer in Essen (back in 1990). That, and google translate double checks everything I do.

                    Moonbeam,

Who had your complaint? Or fill out another complaint, or write me directly. I can't promise they will do anything, but I can raise hell.

I'd like to know it too.
There are apparently every now and then fixed matches in Russia, but I've never had a bet cancelled not even after ginormous odd drops.

They voided all of my pending wagers when they pulled out of the US, stealing thousands in equity from me.

Did you fill out a complaint? They should either settle on equity that you agree to, or let them stand.

It was me that put in the complaint. Thanks for your efforts, Justin, I really do appreciate it . Yes it was a Grozny match; who knows if it was fixed or not - I have no idea. Books have a choice as to whether to offer odds or not on any match - if they thought this team was dodgy they shouldn't have had odds on their site.

To be honest, that club have been involved in so many dodgy matches I'm not surprised there have been problems.

Refusing to grade a match is ridiculous though, and as you say they should have just stopped offering the match in the first place - like Betfair with Davydenko

Sportingbet perhaps is not a F book, but a book you can“t trust because they do whatever they want.

                                            Arent they IBAS?

                                            Ive just checked, they are.

If you have a problem just email them. They will give you an answer in a month or so and its binding on the bookie.

Ive used them, they are bookie friendly obviously, but they have legal abligations and are subject to UK gvt legislation and law and, hence, consequences.
