As the years continue to pass, things are only going to get worse with welfare recepients having child after child to increase their checks and what will their LITTERS of children do the very moment they turn 18 - Apply for their own government assistance.
Wow. Talk about the politics of divisiveness.

Let's try to look at this logically, the previous liberal, democratic administration oversaw welfare reform and balanced the budget. The next conservative republican administration began spending like a drunken sailor and saw more people but on government assistance than the Obama administration.

You don't have to take everything Newt Gingrich says as a fact...and if you don't heed that advice, you are going to be mighty disappointed when there isn't a base on the moon in eight years!

DirkDiggs, this time around there is no logic to what you're saying.

The budget was balanced during the Clinton administration because the republicans wouldn't let him overspend the way all democrats want to. The vast majority of the credit for the balanced budget belongs to the republican controlled congress as they decide how much money is going to be spent in this country.

When spending started to get out of control during the last 2 years under Bush, once again it was the congress responsible for it. Every single bill put in front of Bush also contained tons of pork spending from the democratic congress which he had no choice but to accept.

Even a OCCUPY FLEABAGGER is smart enough to know that the 535 members of congress are responsible for how much this country spends. The president can play hardball and try to stop some of it but then you have the liberals threatening to shut down the government anytime their huge spending demands aren't approved.

The reason why liberal democrats keep pinning our country's deficits on the presidents even though they know its congress that is responsible for them is because it proves that the deficit blows up anytime the democrats have congressional control.

Over the past 30 years, the democrats have had control of all 3 branches of government during:
1993 and 1994 - They infuriated the voters so much that republicans re-gained full control of congress for the first time in 50 years.
2009 and 2010 - Once again, the democrats infuriated the voters leading to the democratic party thrashing that occurred in the 2010 mid-term elections.

In 1993 and 1994, Hillary tried to shove her socialized medicine plan down the throats of Americans which led to the democrats being ousted from congressional power.

In 2009 and 2010, it was Obama who succeeded in shoving ObamaCare down the throats of Americans which led to the democratic party meltdown in the 2010 mid-term election.

Knowing what happened above, liberal democrats still continue to insist that Americans are in favor of socializing our country's medical care system.

CAN THE VOTERS POSSIBLY OBJECT ANY LOUDER?

Clinton oversaw welfare reform and a balanced budget??? Actually the Republicans controlled both houses of Congress and passed welfare reform, not Clinton. It was a very big piece of the Contract With America. You are right about Bush spending like hell tho. That's why I didn't like him that much. Then when the democrats took over Congress in 2006, they spent even more.

Indeed! Anyone that loves to change positions frequently needs condoms from virtually all of the candidates. The only one that I don't buy condoms from is Ron Paul. He's old school... he finds a position that he believes in and he sticks with it. I can respect that.

As you know, in 2008, the democrats took control of the White House and strengthened their majorities in both the house and senate. The 2008 election was clearly won by the democrats and by a large margin.

In the very next mid-term election in 2010, the voters did a complete 180 degree U-turn voting out every democrat they could find resulting in the republicans gaining 63 house seats and 6 senate seats.

Obviously, something happened during the first 2 years of the Obama administration which resulted in the voters doing such a strong about face. The Dow went from 8800 to 11,000 during those 2 years so that wasn't it.

From time to time, you show small samples of intelligence so how about a straight up answer to the following question:

Why do you believe the voters switched sides so drastically in 2 short years? I believe the reason was the Obamacare legislation and the manner in which the democrats shoved it down the throats of Americans while providing waivers to themselves and labor unions from having to participate in it.

The same thing happened in 1993-1994 when Hillary tried to shove socialized medicine down our throats as well.

If ObamaCare wasn't the catalyst, then what was?

If "Obamacare" was the issue, then Romney wouldn't be the frontrunner and Obama wouldn't be leading all of the GOP candidates. As has been shown, it's economical and as the stock market rises and unemployment declines, Obama [and the Congressional Democrats] become more popular. Not to mention the president typically always loses seats during his first mid-term elections. Your logic would also need to explain why the Tea Party's influence has taken a huge dive and why Obama is favored to retain the White House despite the Affordable Care Act still being around. Like I said, people are far more concerned about jobs and their investments than health care.

It seems like you are having a problem with the word oversaw. Clinton had a role in how both the budget was balanced and welfare reform because he had veto power. And he did indeed exercise it and ultimately signed off on both. But, this is a common theme running through your rant blame them democrats for everything, give republicans all the credit.

When spending started to get out of control during the last 2 years under Bush
Last two years? Please see the Bush tax cuts of 2003 and 2005 all while we were fighting two wars

once again it was the congress responsible for it.
You must not remember how strongly Bush and his administration advocated going into Iraq or him pitching the TARP bailout to the country during prime time. Once again though, blame them democrats, take no responsibility.

Every single bill put in front of Bush also contained tons of pork spending from the democratic congress which he had no choice but to accept.
Are you seriously saying that Republicans don't put just as much pork in Bills than democrats? Once again though, blame them democrats, take no responsibility.

Bush had no choice? He's got veto power...he just loved to spend more than any other president in history.

                                        Even a OCCUPY FLEABAGGER
This right here is awesome. It completely highlights the biggest problem with our political system right now. If you don't identify as the same party as someone when you get to a disagreement, just try to attack them personally. There just couldn't be possibly be any common ground there...

The president can play hardball and try to stop some of it but then you have the liberals threatening to shut down the government anytime their huge spending demands aren't approved.
Haven't conservatives been behind the steering wheel for the last two government shutdowns?

Knowing what happened above, liberal democrats still continue to insist that Americans are in favor of socializing our country's medical care system.
Socializing medical care? The two biggest pieces of health care reform, the individual mandate and the insurance exchange market have traditionally been Republican ideas. There is no government take over of insurance companies. No government take over of doctors practices. No rationing. No death panels for grandma.

It's so sad to see people be so misinformed and buy into propaganda without any critical thinking on their own behalf.

And I won't be bothering to respond again. This was already a response barely worth a reply and you seem capable of having a rationale dialogue.

Clearly, you have never studied how polling actually works. Thus why terminology like "outlier" went over your head. Also, if you had bothered to actually check, all of the polls are within the past month. So, apparently you can't even understand dates. Care to try again retard?

Like I said, Santorum had been getting closer and closer to Obama and he is now slightly ahead. Look at Rasmussen's last 4 polls. He has gone from -10 to -8 to -2 to +1. At the same time that he pulls up with Obama he wins 2 caucuses and a primary. He obviously has some momentum which correlates with him rising in the polls. Also, inside the latest poll he beats Obama +10 with Independents. However, I actually don't think that Santorum would win against Obama. I think he would lose. It's all moot anyway because Santorum won't even be the nominee, Romney will.
