I've heard from a few people and read a few stories that watching the superbowl live is a letdown. People get all excited thinking it's going to be this epic game but the lack of atmosphere takes the enjoyment away. The crowd being uncheerful, on opposite teams, not cheering for either team etc. is a buzz kill.
