Fine-print
1. Prizes are in the form of regular SBR Points.
2. If the total # of buy-ins does not equal 2,000 points, SBR will guarantee that 2,000 points are distributed to the top X% of users (according to pay tables above). Additionally, the poker tourney lobby will list the prizes per place once the tournament starts. If more than 2,000 points are taken in, those buy-ins will be distributed.

I think the number paid should be based on the number of entrants. More players, more people paid.
