Need help with a crazy super bowl prop bet

Hey guys,

Heres the deal:

I bet $1000 with my friend striaght up on a prop bet

The bet is what color liquid will be in the cooler that is dumped on the winning teams coach at the end of the game.

My pick: Yellow (for yellow gatorade) but anything yellow is a win

My Friends pick: Clear (obv water)

Any other color liquid is a wash and no bet

My question is who do you think has the advantage here?

I think water is a little to boring for a super bowl win although i doubt they plan it and probably pick up whatever cooler is full

Any thoughts would help.

Agreed. I'd cancel outright though. Best you can hope for is if Giants win and its a "no poor" in which it will be a push. So your either going to loose or push, a no win situation for you redsox. CANCEL!

we made it and handshook on it 2 weeks ago and agreed right then and there it was a no research bet cause then obviously we would probably find out one side is favored.

I know u probably think he looked in advance but i know him for 10 years he didn.t

So what am i suppsed to give as a reason for cancelling if in his mind he still thinks we have a 50/50 bet

and on top of that i cant give research as a reason cause we both agreed not to and obv im a scumbag but hey its a grand lol

Has anyone ever even dumped yellow Gatorade? I guess they must've for the odds to be so low but at that point I'm usually too smuckered to pay attention. I know about Belichick and his water thing though.

And Coughlin was dunked with water when the Giants beat the Pats in '08.

You could

1. Flip the script. Explain how you came across a thread and read a conversation explaining this info. Call him a scumbag for tryna pull the okie doke. Maybe ruin a friendship.. probably save a grand.

2. Approach this in a civil manner. Explain how you came across a thread, and suggest readjusting the odds because of the severity of the disadvantage you are being put at. (If you've been friends for 10+ years, ya got a shot) but then again, he might just call you a bitch and your beat..

3. Ride this sheet the fukk out and understand if it hits you are a lucky fukkin dude and will sleep well at night knowing you stayed true to your word, despite the knowledge you had.

Personally, I think he knew. Him saying "no researching" would only raise suspicion in my mind that something was being hidden....

If you're going to be honest with your buddy, then you just suck it up and hope your bigger bet on the Giants wins. The fact they got Coughlin with water also doesn't bode well for you... the two coaches who are in the SB, both prefer water.

If not, let us know and we'll come up with some dodgy excuses for you. Lesson learned though - even though the majority of the people on here talk smack, when we're trying to help someone out, we usually do quite well at least coming up with angles so no more of these bets before checking on the forum

Heres my thought process:

First off i brought up the whole liquid dumping bet and we both put a no research clause on it so technically it would be impossible for him to really be trying to screw me and trust me this kid knows nothing about sports let alone this in depth.

Secondly: I think im just gonna say i came across a thread talking about it and offer to buy out for 500 and hopefully as a good friend he will just cancell the bet thats what i would do

Or thirdly be the ULTIMATE scumbag and tell him that since its 50/50 and he doesnt care i really wanna take water and give him yellow( he actually wanted yellow to begin with and IM THE IDIOT who told him i want it more)

im not gonna do that third thing thats just bad but maybe the second thing and if he says yes to a 500 buy out I save 500 bucks and hopefully hell feel like a scumbag

Tell him it's LESS than a 50/50 bet. Belichick = nothing but water. Coughlin last SB win = water.

If anything you should be getting plus odds. Tell him even for $100 or you're out. Seriously man, I've lived in Australia for a few years and I even know about Belichick's thing... fair enough if you didn't but for your buddy not to know too? You're getting hosed either way.
