Look at the 5:49 a.m. line at Pinny. They juiced the living shit out of Drake backers. Combined with being a single-possession home fave (no-no for me) and a popular one at that -- you can't just look at the fact that they opened at -1 and closed at -2.5 and assume the line movement is telling you Drake is the play. Have to read into it more sometimes. Not to mention Missouri State got hit late; some books closed at -2.

Line made sense. Drake picks off a lot of teams in Des Moines.

With that being said, there's a big difference between a team like Drake being +1 or +2 at home vs. -1 or -2. Hard to ever back a team like that as a short fave.

I'm 16-7 in the MVC and I know what I'm talking about. Drake opened -1 and got hammered to -4. Square plays don't get steamed like that. Simons being out hurt their chances a lot and I don't know when that was announced. I had stuff going on all day and didn't check until after I saw the box score without him. Sometimes you lose, that's betting. If anyone looked at the silly title and faded for that reason, good for you. But with a healthy Simons I'll take Drake -1 in this spot 100 times out of 100 and make a substantial profit after those 100 games.

If anyone wants to book my MVC bets, go ahead and offer. You won't come out ahead.
