yes I know, Its the Irish, at Home..and they just beat Syracuse and UConn blah blah blah.

well Marquette is even hotter..one of the hottest teams in the nation atm and the #1 reason is their stifling defense. and if you take a look at ND offense past 5 games they are only averaging around 55 points per game on 39% shooting. just dreadful. that is not going to get it done against a suffocating defense like Marquette...who can also drain the rock as well, averaging 73 a game their last 5 shooting 43% from the floor. Quette is the more balanced and well rounded team. ND will be working so hard on the offensive end to get open looks, its going to be twice as tough to get back and play solid defense.......and will have no legs come 2nd half and we all know Marquette is one of the best 2nd half teams in the nation.
