Here's my suggestion: If you guys really want to maximize traffic on this site and interest in this contest you should offer betting in the SBR sportsbook on the contest. I'm talking about betting on who will win the contest as well as who will win each match. If you did that it would raise the interest level 10 fold I think.

Might be a bitch for SBR to set up, but yeah it would blow up, id love to see the odds on certain matches, Talk about Put up or Shut Up.

I don't even care about points but I'd get involved with this, posting picks, betting, there would be a 100 threads (maybe hundreds, this thing lasts months) just about betting on the various matches, guaranteed. If SBR doesn't do it they'll lose all the traffic and interest that all those threads would create. That's a real competitive advantage over any other site like this, it would be huge.

Logistically they would probably only be able to offer the lines on each match at the start of each round. Maybe they could set up a program that would adjust the lines automatically according to the betting or they could possibly set the system to freeze a line if it got too much action and then adjust it manually.

All lines in SBR Sportsbook, but then again this only one sport March Madness they might think the competition is to thin, if it was all sports down the road it might work.

It seems to me that the current contest with 95 sign ups is for the March Madness brackets .

If I read it correctly, Lou was gauging interest on a 256 man contest that pits the players in the brackets and weekly picks.

If that is the case, it will be pinned at the top of the forum and the first 256 will get in.

That format takes 8 weeks to run it's course.

It typically takes a week for it to fill up.

If like previous contests, it will be NCAA and NBA .Maybe NHL as well.

It will probably be up soon.

Sounds great although I can imagine where setup and scheduling is going to be a nightmare. If you schedule people at specific times, I'm sure a lot of people won't be able to make it at the assigned time. I guess you could run each round at the same time to avoid advantage, but is SBR Poker set up to handle 128 matches at the same time. Hope it works well.
